Default update

Today I noticed that gas pedal buzzing vibration has not really improved as much as I had initially thought. It's better, but just slightly. Still making my foot go numb. Glad to report though that the other vibration and noise concerns still evidence noticeable improvement.

Just curious did you use two dampers or just one?

No I didn't - I said I was thinking about (may) add the second one - but had not done so. I still have not done so.

I only did the one in front of the catalytic converter.

The original guy who came up with this solution back in October installed both.

I also ordered two, hopefully I didn't waste $100 dollars. Even if it helps a little it willbe worth it.
I will post results as soon As I get them installed. Fingers crossed!!!

If that is all it needs then Lexus should authorize a fix. Seems easy enough and it wouldn't interfere with EPA certifications.

What I cant understand is I have watched and read so many car reviews on the RX. None of the reviews mention anything
about drone or vibration. I wonder if Lexus hand picks the ones that are used for reviews.
I was actually just watching one on youtube and they were reviewing the car as they were driving. There was a period
of time that you cound see the Tach as they were driving. it never went under 2K rpm's Mine always settels out at 12 to 1500 rpm's which is where the drone and vibration occurr. I wonder if some are tuned differently. Very puzzling to say the least.

I tried to video the "drone."

I had it on D and had the foot on the brake and gas at around 1,500 RPM. I did not feel any vibrations aside from what I consider normal engine vibrations when revving the engine, very minimal.

Check out this video by AutoAcademics from November 24, 2016 to hear the drone
during his review of the Rx.
Forward to 6:15 of the video to witness.
I will try to post a link to this video but not positive if it will work. you can
find it on youtube.

Regards

I also have the dreaded drone ! Only at 1000-1300 RPM for a short while but at times it is really loud.

Hmmm. That video sound sounds like how my car drives everyday.

Isn't it the F SPORT sound enhancer that makes the car sound more aggressive?
