Maybe try printing out the price from the link I provided on where I got mine from (Lexus of Queens) and go to your local dealership. See if they will match.

Not true. They will not come installed from the factory. The dealer will install them after delivery at a nice mark-up, of course!

It's the dealer's way of making extra profit from each new car sale.

JosersRX, that post was back in January. Lexus had the side steps listed as an option when I placed the special order in late December. But I found out shortly after that they were discontinued. A bad word to use IMO because it implies no longer available. And they were probably installed at port or at the dealer like other options.

Extra profit? Definitely. The side steps were listed for $80. I checked online in March and found them online, parts only, for around $500.

Enjoy yours.

Can't decide on what? Running boards or getting an F Sport?

The Lexus OEM running boards are sleek, modern and actually compliment the F Sport front fascia nicely. They look like they are meant to be there. They are rather expensive but they provide value and utility in a handsome way.

For what its worth. If you're a DIY kinda of guy. It's not hard to install the boards. Just note that you will need to get yourself a Rivnut tool ($50-$100). Don't skimp out and make a do it yourself one that you may see on youtube and what not. Save yourself the dealer install charges that seems to be in the $400 range.

Mine was the first one the dealer installed. They told me it was quite hard installing it. Very nice addition to the car! I had a 300 dollar service credit with Lexus and 10% coupon off accessory from dealer so I end up paying 540 including taxes for everything installed. Thanks par place grapevine!

Default Picture of Running Boards

Here's a couple pictures of my 2016 RX350 with running boards. I think it gives it a sleek and sporty look.
