Nice price and interesting packaging. I wish I could get those packages with those price converted to US dollars in the US market. That would be a deal no one can beat.

I did some research on this subject a while back and concluded it is almost impossible. First of all, most of the manufacturers won't honor warranty, except Nissan. Secondly, you will have to find a dealer who is willing to sell one to you, which is unlikely due to limitation imposed by manufacturers. Lastly, after you somehow overcome all above problems, you may need to modify the car a bit to fit US inspection if there is any difference between the two markets.

Thanks for posting the pricing.
My reaction is this is a significant price hike compared to the '15, almost 5K more from starting, however, there is a little more standard equipment. But 65 or 70K for an F Sport S2 or S3... ouch. Add 10K for a 450h version and you're at 80K for an RX. These upper models are almost 10K more than the '15 RX.

Based on your research, would a canada spec RX be ok in the US?
I like that their package for the 450h F-sport has the options I want including the HUD.

If the purchase price is going to be near MSRP then it will be hard to justify when something like the MDX in the best/elite trim could have been had for around $56k with rebates and negotiation earlier in the year in May (not sure what, if any, rebates are happening right now on the MDX though). I expect the new RX to be nicer than the MDX, but $14k nicer?

I see that in Canada, most options are packaged together compared to the US where you can pick and choose the option.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get a base model RX 2016 with a 12.3" display as an option?

Unfortunately you would be stuck with the 8" display screen if you went with the base model RX in Canada
