Was commenting on the great price RogueRX achieved this early from his state. As for my 2013, I purchased at Sewell Lexus in Dallas a couple hours down the road. Nothing wrong with the 2 small market Oklahoma dealers, but at the time since I also bought early, Sewell worked out best both price and especially selection. Currently in Tucson, AZ. area for the winter, so having same small market selection limitations. Dealer keeping me updated on what they have on order, but so far not what I want. No discounts yet, so maybe just as well.

I went for a test drive in a '16 450h while mine was being serviced last Friday. MSRP on a fully loaded 450h F-Sport comes in around $64K and has to be special ordered. Sales guy offered a $1,200 discount for being a loyal customer. But I'm going to wait a while.

Yep, that's what I ordered as well. Seems that the 450h is heads and shoulders above the 350 in terms of quietness.

I'm in the market for a 2016 Lexus RX 450h F Sport . My timeline, however, is more like 3 months+ from now. Unless of course I get a crazy deal now. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area...more specifically, the east bay.

I tried Costco pricing today just to see what the pricing is today. An East Bay dealership responded that they "usually don't discount the 2016 RX450h. But we would love to earn your business, $1,000 Off MSRP."

But Costco auto has the 2016 450h F sport as an option. It is true that 450h F sport is harder to get a discount on due to the new release , more limited volume , or just in general ?

$1K off for 450h F sport is better than the first east bay dealership I went to about 2 weeks ago where the best I could get was MSRP only.

Just got the new 2016 RX350 yesterday in the Seattle metro area, pretty baby.

Model : RX350 AWD + 20" +BSM+HVSeats+Intuitive Parking +LexusSafety+Moonroof+Nav12.3" +Premium Pkg+Touch free+Towing pkg.

MSRP- $53744

Paid: $52400 + TTL = $58000 (approx.)

Dealers too reluctant to budge on the MSRP. glad could slash off atleast $1300 off MSRP.

P.S. -- Folks saying they got $2500 /$3000/$4000 off MSRP are all BULL****ING.....I am a very hard negotiator but i couldn't budge 3 dealers in the area to slash much off the MSRP.

Really you negotiated with two dealers as bellevue and tacoma dealerships are affiliated. You can get better deals if you have connections. Did you try Costco?

Congrats on your new car

Just got back from picking up our white on black Hybrid FSport.

Can't say enough about the folks in Tacoma, WA. They may be in the same ownership as the Bellevue folks, but they run their operation very differently. Bellevue is far too elite-ist. I found the Seattle folks to be generally pleasant, but they weren't going out of their way to get me what I wanted.

Costco pricing, if a dealer agrees to it, is 1000-1500 off... If you are standing at a dealer waiving your hands saying 'I am a buyer, I am a buyer' - they will deal. But of course, if you are cross shopping - they'll always quote you MSRP at a new product launch.

There's a little to be saved when you are ready to pull the trigger.

Just picked up the 2016 RX 350 f sport in obsidian black with the Rioja red interior! Whoop! Received the $1500 Costco discount from Lexus Carlsbad putting the car at $58,475. With fees and taxes it came out to be $63,759. It was a pleasant experience overall save for our paranoia over the fine print and other miscellaneous items due to previous bad car buying experiences at a Honda dealership that left us jaded, but that's another story.

Thanks.

No, i did not. But the Bellevue dealer told me straight in the eye, "Its a high demand vehicle, so its MSRP, BUT if you are a Costco member we will slash off $750." Not a good experience. As someone pointed out, Lexus of Bellevue is more of ELITIST... with Suite and Tie folks. I am a very casual guy, may be they thought i was just there to window shop..........

I agree with the connections thing, but i dont have many..... :-(

Default Picking up 2016 RX today

We are picking up a 2016 RX350 this morning, trading in a 2008 RX400H. After a 3.5 hour session at my local dealer, we got $1500 off MSRP and got them to throw in body side molding (worth about $250 based on cost for my RX350).
They kept insisting that there is no discount off MSRP and low balled me on the trade in on my RX400H since my wife had a minor accident with it that was on car fax. They kept insisting that they would take some off since this is the third car from the same dealer. They also said delta from invoice to MSRP has changed significantly so they can't take as much off. They also laughed when I mentioned Costco and said new RX is not included.
I had gotten 3200 off on RX400H and 4500 off on RX350 and I told them that but they were adamant about not taking much off. I did get them up $500 on trade by presenting card I got in the mail offering $500 extra on trade. Salesman seemed pissed when I handed him the card.
MSRP was $52119. NJ taxes are high 7% and an extra 0.4% luxury tax on selling price when above 45K. Out the door price with trade is $40,840.
I don't know if I got a good deal (based on previous cars) but I sensed that they were not going to do any more. I only got the body side molding thrown in because my wife and I made the we're leaving now motions.

Trade in for RX400H was $13500 after 500 extra letter from local dealer. Car had 53000 miles but accident on car fax. This dealer only puts pristine Lexus cars on their lot and said car would be sent to auction. Edmunds and the dealer web site said around 15-16K with no accident and a local Toyota dealer offered my $15,850, with the bad car fax, towards a fully equipped Highlander. But I did not go any further since the Highlander did not have the safety features my wife wanted. Based on previous purchases, this dealer seems to initially low ball trade ins and I have to work to get it back up to a reasonable value.
