Default RX Redesign Expresses Lexus's New Stylish Philosophy

Did you notice that big, bold, hourglass grille and the hot new lines on the newly designed RX? Sure is striking, don't you think? Well, that's the idea: to be stricken with style.

I don't like it; it's that simple.

More important than the new "stylish philosophy" is the business philosophy expressed by the Lexus VP/GM:

“We know [the new design philosophy] can be polarizing and we know we can upset our real traditional owners, but if we don’t do that, we can’t open the minds or attract folks to us who would have never considered us. The downside of losing some of our loyal followers will be way offset by people who look at us because of that design.”

Don't know about the "stylish philosophy", whatever that may mean, but that grille will be a nightmare to clean the first time it drives through southern Florida. It'll look "stylish" allright.

Lots of interior pics are available. Most auto press sites have them, as does the Lexus site:

The angle of this picture makes it look like the '16 RX will be extremely well suited for moving farm animals off the road.
