Default Who is considering the new RX?

Just got my first Lexus (GS F Sport) and will need to replace my wife's CUV in a few years. She currently drives an Acura RDX, which is a great vehicle, but they left out features in 2013 (no park assist, BSM, rear vents, etc.).

I think the (non F Sport) RX looks great and I would consider one. This made me wonder how many Lexus owners have more than one.

How about you - are you considering the new RX or do you have more than one Lexus today?

I use to think it seemed kind of dumb to own more than one car from the same maker at the same. Why would you want to own two Fords (just an example) when there are so many other great choices out there?! BUT... Once you experience Lexus, there really is nothing like it. The quality is amazing. I would imagine my wife's next vehicle will be an RX F Sport, in about two years probably. Or maybe that's just what I will get when my lease is up on the GS.

Basically what I'm saying is, Lexus is great and I wouldn't blame any household who would only want Lexus in their driveway.

Lexus is the best, I would own every model if my wallet allows.

Imagine walking out to ur driveway and don't know which Lexus to drive today.. then u go back inside and go back to bed.

So true. There are parts of the new RX that I'm not sure I 'love' but I really really like the effort Lexus has been making to not only keep up with the competition (finally) but to even surpass them.

I'd only consider the RX in the F Sport trim but no 3rd roll option is what kills it for me. I guess Lexus just doesn't want to cannibalize sales of the GX/LX platforms. The current Highlander and MDX was high on my list when i was in the market for a mid-size SUV.

That's great news. I'm glad that Lexus is officially committing to the third-row seat!

I guess that means no more excuses and bye bye GS F for me

I'm definitely considering one. Perhaps to replace my GS, or the 3 row to replace the Jeep.

Haha Yeah the RX is a very compelling vehicle. It just makes since, especially now that its temporarily 'basically' Lexus' flagship vehicle.

Loving this idea. Either way, no minivan.

The new RX is sitting on the Highlander frame I think and the Highlander did get bigger and so does the new RX.

We have a 13 RX (hubby) and a 15 ES (me).
I love them both and wouldn't consider any other make.

+1. There are certain things about Lexus that make it hard to leave the brand.

In my family, at the moment we have a total of 10 Lexus that I'm aware of. In my circle most have Lexus and usually for both wife and husband. My wife had a 2nd gen RX and we got her a 3rd gen not too long ago before the RX news came out. We purchased this one so it's too soon to change but my wife already had had 4RX on her mind before we even made the purchase. For certain group of people, RX is a perfect vehicle IMO. I personally would not want to be the main driver though.

I have a '13 RX350 and a '14 IS350. In about a year I plan on swapping the 3RX for a new 4RX and the IS for a '16 refreshed GS.

The total ownership experience and my amazing local Lexus dealer will keep me in the brand for the foreseeable future.
