Windshield Wiper Reservoir Leak
I own a 2011 RX 350 that has developed a hole somewhere in the wiper fluid reservoir/line. When it is filled up, it literally runs out immediately in a small stream in front of the right front tire. ( I do still have fluid that cleans the back windshield wiper, though I am not sure why. )
Is this something I can attempt to fix on my own? Having the Low Wiper Fluid alert come on every time I start the car is driving me crazy.
I appreciate any any help you can give me.

The pump for the hatch window washer is apparently below the level of the pump for the windshield washer. Perhaps the hose for the windshield washer has become detached from the pump or the pump has come out of the fluid reservoir. You should be able to see where the water is escaping from. On most vehicles made by Toyota, it is necessary remove the front portion of the wheel well liner and sometimes under body panels to access the fluid reservoir and its pumps.

Pull up the parts diagram [on line Lexus parts dealer like Lexus of South Atlanta]. The pump motor is stuck into the reservoir with a rubber seal. If the bottom is bumped the motor can get cocked and or the piping can get damaged.

I remember that on my wife's previous 2004 RX330, a black plastic T-fitting that connected the wiper fluid clear plastic tubing together cracked and caused a wiper fluid leak that showed up on the ground underneath the car. I traced the leak to the source fairly quickly, found a suitable brass T-fitting replacement in the plumbing section at our local Lowe's store, and never had to deal with the issue again. So you may want to check your plastic tubing as well.
