Default Headlight lense have a reflecting shadow?

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I need help confirming this is normal for the 15 RX350. I just purchased the suv and I noticed that the headlight lense have a reflecting shadow when it is on. It does not look normal to me so I'm wondering if all the 15 RX350 headlight lense is like that. I would appreciate if you can take pictures of your headlight lense and confirmed it normal for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is strange.

I have not seen this in our 2013 RX450H with OEM HID lights.

Does your RX have HID OR HALOGEN LIGHTS?

I can't offer if it's normal, but that looks more like the projected light than a shadow on the lens.

That's not the main issue the OP is talking about. But, I thought the LED strips were just for daytime running lights and once the main headlights were turned on, they went out.

maybe they go out if you have the hid headlamps. i have the halogen headlights so they stay on. and btw, i see that type of shadow on my lense as well. i noticed this for quite some time, but didnt really think much of it.

Looks normal to me. All my cars with projectors are not immune to it.

I'm not sure if it has HID or Halogen. I need to check. Maybe the shadow is from the projector itself and not the lense. If it a halogen then I probably just install HID to see if it make a different. Thanks guy for the reply.

My '13 which has stock HID has the same thing. I've always assumed it's the nature of the lens. The projected beam looks normal with shines onto a wall.
As for the LED DRL strip, they seem to dim slightly when the HIDs are on. In the picture they may appear off as the camera is adjusting due to the brightness from the low beam.

I just checked the light bulb and it's halogen. Maybe the shadow on the lense is normal on this car...

It's just the shape of the light beam at that range. The reflector is focused for correct light coverage on the road, not the headlight lens. Nothing to worry about.

I just noticed that mine looks a bit like this, also. I join the "this is normal" camp.

Believe the cover is plastic, so normal to haze in the sun. It's sad that a $45-60k car has this issue, but every car has it's issues. Since we are Lexus owners, we have a bias over BMW, Benz, Audi, etc... At least the rest of the car is solid, leather little too soft, . I've owned X5, ML500, and G55 and they also have their fair share of issues. G55 have been my last SUV and really reliable, but suspension was killing my back. My 2015 RX350 has not been the funnest car to drive but it's comfortable and smooth. If the headlight gets worst, just have them polished.

The real question for me would be, "Do the headlights work fine?". If so, nothing to worry about.
