streaks that come down from side mirrors on both sides?
i was curious if this happens to any of you guys. when ever it rains or i wash my 2015 rx, streaks come down the sides from where the side mirrors are connected to the doors? anyone else deal with this? it is very annoying. and of course mine is black (non metallic) so ya really see it.

The mirrors hold water that get blown out as you drive. Lots of people use their leaf blowers to blow it out. I use my air compressor. It's really amazing how many places your car holds water. A lot of places in the back are bad (at the bottom of the back window). The lights and the license plate are bad, too.
Personally, I worry about rust if it just let it sit until it evaporates

I've had this problem in pretty much every car with power mirrors that I have owned. I think it's because of the dirt and dust that collects in the housing getting washed out.
When washing at a coin op car wash I just flush out the housing with the spot free rinse, or flush the things out with the washer at home get out the leaf blower when washing in the driveway.

I have this on my 2015 too..
After I wash my cars I also use a leaf blower as the other posters above mentioned to blow off most of the water off of the finish. I will also blow the water off the wheels, and out of the trim, grill and mirrors. By doing this I usually don't get the streaks.

Yup a leaf blower, been using one now for close to 15 years..
BTW - I use an electric blower and have never used a gas blower for drying the car. But from what I have heard and read, gas blowers sometimes "spit" little bits of oil so for drying your car you would be better off using an electric one. Maybe someone who uses a gas blower can chime in based on their experience.

no, i don't mean the water in the glass part of the mirror. i mean where the mirror actually attaches to the door. i get the streaks that come from there.

We know which part you're talking about. It happens on every car with side mirrors attached to the door. It's just the nature of the how the water drains from the side mirror. I usually blow water out from the mirror assembly and work my way towards where it attaches to the door.
