Replacing Rear Parking Sensor Housing
Does anyone know if the rear bumper cover has to be removed in order to replace the rear parking sensor housing?
I just noticed that one of the housings is cracked, it must have happened yesterday because I washed it on Sunday and it was fine. Fortunately there is no other damage to rear bumper, and the sensor is working fine.
It's just the bottom portion of the housing that is cracked, at first glance it's barely noticeable, but it will drive me crazy if I don't change it. Maybe I missed it, but I ran a few searches and didn't find what I was looking for. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am not sure but found this information http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...-assit-sensor/
I would run it by a body shop or the dealer for an estimate. You will need to order a new sensor from the parts department or eBay as mentioned in the video. The video is for the front one, but I wonder if for the rear you could remove the underside protective panel to access the inside of the bumper. It is not hard to remove as I did it to install my trailer hitch. It has many of the typical Lexus push pins holding most of it on and maybe a few screws.

Thanks, yeah I'm waiting on going the dealer right now . But last night I actually saw online that the housing can be ordered by itself, so that got me thinking..
Thanks again
