Front Seat Power Adjust Issue
Hello - wondering if anyone has experienced problems with the driver seat power adjust. I have two different issues: 1) Seat moves all the way back and down when car turned off (happened twice over past 2 months), and 2) seat does not always pull forward automatically upon car start (occurred 4-5 times over past 2 months).
I'm no expert, but this clearly seems like an electrical problem as both issues surfaced about the same time. However, dealer claims everything is fine.
I do have the seat set to move back slightly when car turned off. It then pulls forward again when car started. Could the electronic control simply be wearing out from moving back/forth so much for 4 years? 2012 RX350
Appreciate any guidance! Thanks

Hey kbfisher,
Our 2012 RX350 is experiencing similar issues. The initial seat movement to come back to memory setting balks and moved with a jerk instead of the smooth quiet movement it had when it was new. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't or wouldn't admit it wasn't normal. It stopped moving backward when you turn the car off, sometimes you can manually adjust. Did you get yours fixed? Is it possible that the battery is weak? thanks.

Maybe lubricate the seat rails etc?

Thanks for the feedback
Appreciate the feedback - good to know I'm not alone. I recently replaced my car battery with no change in the seat issue. For the time being, I'm just dealing with it - at least it's just an annoyance rather than a critical issue. However, I will likely find another dealership who may take me more seriously!
