Android Drive Assist instead of built in SMS
Just picked up my first Lexus, a 2013 RX 450h, and have run into my first annoying thing with the car.
In the SUV this replaces I had a Parrot MKi9100 system installed to handle hands free calling. With the Parrot system and the Drive Assist app on my Motorola phone active, the phone would read me text messages through the speakers, AND, allow me to speak a response, read the response back for confirmation, and then send it, all without touching anything.
After a few days with the Lexus system I'm wondering if anyone has been able to use Drive Assist with it instead of what Lexus decided to create?
What I really don't like is having to use one of the canned messages (if there's a way around this please let me know) and having to use the controller instead of having a purely audio interface.
