Default Welcome to the Lexus family

It is a great color. You are right, 54k miles on a 2013 seems a bit high, but Lexus builds them to last. I have the ventilated seats too and they come in handy here in Florida. Enjoy the ride, my friend.

Actually upon reflection, 54k on a 3 yr old car is a little less than 20k per yr...again the warranty helps.
Thank You..My sister is in southern Fla...It is hotter here, but only 10% humidity! Went to college in Fla myself...Miss the fresh OJ! LOL

Just missed out on a 2011 RXh FWD with 78K miles, but have a secured appointment to see a 2010 RXh FWD with only 71K miles for Wednesdayat noon. I've been able to register the '10's VIN on Lexus/Drive and verify the dealer records, and between the Dealer records and the clean Carfax, it looks good. Price doesn't appear to be too bad @ ~ $22.7K. These h's are selling fast around here (at least the Southern ones with no accident records), there aren't tons of them around right now, and I am ready to pull this trigger! It's a Smoky Mica exterior with black interior.

After a thorough detailing this weekend (assuming we make the purchase), one of the first things I plan to do is to add the 20mm wheel spacers just to stiffen the legacy body roll dynamics. The tires are supposedly in great shape, but I'll just have to see myself, tomorrow. If we do purchase it, I'll be hauling it back on a trailer behind my F250, so I really won't get my typical "settling in" for a couple weeks or so. Once I get it cleaned to MY satisfaction, I'll shoot a few pics and post them, especially with the before/after appearance on the wheel stance with the new spacers.

I want to say "thanks" to all the folks in here because you've already been a great help to me in posting your experiences and perspectives. I've been lurking in the shadows for over three weeks now, and have recently been asking some additional questions for a more thorough perspective on the hybrids, and I'm sold on the Toyota technology, and am eager to have my wife and I enjoy the Lexus reliability. What we're replacing is a 2003 Ford Excursion with the legacy 7.3L diesel power stroke engine. The Ex has been a great vehicle, and suited us exceptionally well while we still had all 6 kids at home, but we're simply at a point where we need (and are able) to move on (and up) to something a little classier. I'm looking forward to getting to know more of you in here over the coming years.

Pete

Default Purchased 2014 CPO

Just traded in my 2006 LX470 on a 2014 RX350 AWD CPO with 40k, Starfire Pearl with dark interior. About a month ago while shopping for a CPO NX200t for my wife the RX really grew on me and looked to be a good replacement now that our kids are getting older and we aren't hauling around as many kids as before.

Appreciate the info on the site already, already ordered a hitch to install myself to pull our little utility trailer from the hardware store or nursery.

Sounds like a great vehicle. My 2010 RX 450 h now has 220,000 miles. Still the most comfortable room in my house. Gets winter and mid west summer driving. FWD more than meets needs. Bought it in Georgia since no one up here would carry FWD only. Had some early problems with Hybrid cooling system that warranty

Hey, first time Lexus girl buyer.

I just bought a 2010 RX 450h FWD from a Toyota Dealer for $15,000.. It has 150K miles on it. It was a Corporate vehicle, whatever that means. So nice, better than my Highlander or Corolla or Sonata's were. Wish me luck with this one. This is granite color with black leather interior and all kinds of lovely fake, shiny wood, which I love. Backup camera, all leather, Navi.
XM radio..which I need! The Navi looks like my 2004 Highlander Nav.

I was reviewing the service records on the Lexus site, and it shows the previous owner did a lot of regular services, but I don't show the water pump being replaced, even though it was suggested by the Tech. I do show the timing chain or belt was done though.

I will be reading this site regularly because I'm a big scaredy cat, and I have never had a car with so many miles!

Thanks. I'm really not feeling the ventilated seats very much, but I think it's because I was recently introduced to air conditioned seats in a brand new Yukon (rental on business trip). THAT was an AMAZING experience. I want to figure out how to duct the A/C into the fan suction that is blowing into the seats to improve the cooling effect. With a relay switch to control a damper (or small valve) in the ducting, I can keep the cold air from getting to the seat except when the switch is activated for cooling. Running the ducting (or tubing) under the console should be reasonably feasible.for both front seats.

NICE... I DID find other 10's and 11's with fewer miles, but it became obvious that if I got below 70K miles, the price would climb inversely with the mileage, and the ones I saw with the mileage in the upper 30's to low 40's were typically $10K more. Since we will only put about 7-8K miles on it per year, I couldn't justify that much extra cash.

A really dumb question...Is the rotary control {heat/cool seats) on the console set to max?
I had a minor problem with mine and had the control switch replaced
