Default Passenger side CV Half Shaft interchangeable with Venza?

I have a leaking inner CV boot on the passenger side of my 2010 AWD RX350. I would prefer to replace entire half shaft with new or re-manufactured unit but rockauto only has the driver side half shafts and doesn't even list the passenger side. I cant seem to find the passenger side anywhere other than lexus OEM that goes for ~$800 while the A1-cardone drivers side is ~$61.

I cross checked a 2010 Toyota Venza on rockauto and they use the exact same part number for the driver side shaft [CARDONE SELECT 665308 434200T010] and the Cardone site lists the RX350, Highlander, and Venza as models compatible with that model half shaft. The AWD Venza has a passenger side shaft listed as [CARDONE SELECT 665307] but the Cardone site only lists the Venza as a compatible model.

The Lexus part numbers I've found for AWD NAP RX350 passenger half shaft are 434100W340, 434100E041, 434100E040.

Has anyone had to replace the left half shaft and have any knowledge of this? If I can't get a new half shaft other than OEM then my next move would be to buy just the OEM inner CV boot kit for $30 and use that.

I looked all over ebay for you, too, and only found driver's side, and pass side up to 09. I would certainly not pay $800 to replace a half shaft that only has a leaking boot. Here is what I would do...

I would order the Cardone Venza half shaft for $61 from Rock Auto. I would also order the boot replacement. Pull the shaft from your RX, and compare it to the new Venza shaft. If everything is absolutely identical, I would install the Venza shaft. If it is not, which I think will be the case, I would do the boot repair. Rock Auto will take back the shaft if it has not been used, and you have the original shipping container. Either way, you will have new boots, at the lowest cost.

Maybe someone on here can say for certain whether the Venza shaft is interchangeable. If not, and you do the above, you are not out any more work or money than you would be otherwise. If you are having a garage do the work, it will still be the same process.

Welcome to Club Lexus!

Do the boot repair. Aftermarket half shafts are usually junk anyways, stick with OEM and fix the boot. Doesn't look like much grease has leaked out yet, so I doubt the joint has gone bad due to dirt contamination or anything. Just re-grease and re-boot.

Thanks for the suggestions! I went ahead and ordered the OEM boot kit, a new axle nut and a band clamp tool. I'll probably order a Venza cardone shaft to see if it could work. I'm worried that the existing axle might be damaged from too much grease leaking or from dirt getting inside since I dont know how long its been like this and there is more grease than can be seen in my picture. After studying the OEM parts diagrams it looks like there is one difference between the RX350 and Venza and its the oil seal for the differential. Maybe I can use the original axle seal on the new venza part. The venza diagram doesnt show it and the RX350 shows it as an extra part 43410M (9031634001). Venza image on top, followed by RX350:
