Put any windshield cleaner in it lately? Possibly leave the key under the hood?
I've left birthday cakes & pizzas on top of minivans, cameras on top of pick-ups & a Blackberry on top of a certain RX parked in our garage !

Have you heard of the prayer to St. Anthony, the patron saint of lost articles? It goes like this...Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony, please come around. Something is lost and cannot be found....Say three times with conviction. Bowing of head optional.
Hope this helps. Helps me every time.

There has been no closure to this post. Has the fob been found? If so where? Inquiring minds want to know.

Afraid his laptop may have fallen into the same dark crevice as the keys.
Now we'll never know.

This man could be financially ruined if all his belongings keep falling in there.
I believe Lexus is liable in this situation.
What if his wife falls in?

I sent the OP a PM and no reply. I think he made the whole thing up because he said "I have misplaced my key and cannot find them". His car does not have a key or keys. Maybe he was at Burning Man.

Three words..."Black hole clusters"...There could be clusters of black holes hidden in the RX350's interior that swallow things like key fobs and credit cards whole, never to be seen again. Here is an excerpt from a piece gleaned from a FB link.
It is only as recently as 2013 that astrophysicists found individual black holes in globular clusters via rare phenomena in which a companion star donates material to the black hole. This work, which was supported by the European Research Council (ERC), has shown that in NGC 6101 there could be several hundred black holes, overturning old theories as to how black holes form.

I fear we have found out the hard way..."IT IS ALIVE". For those with a CERTIFIED vehicle, I wonder if this is covered? I cannot locate any mention of coverage after September 10th...

Hello Folks...
Sorry for the delay..was travelling out of country for work...I was able to locate the keys ..it had fallen into the black hole in-between the passenger driver side seat and the center console...3 of my friends helped to search for the key...we had to take the car out of garage into well lighted area and did the searching...However I was able to take the car to work (for 10 days) but could not lock it as the key was inside the car....thanks for all the help

Next time there's a loss, keep in mind, you can still lock the car via the 2nd key fob by using actual buttons on the fob.
Anyone with a wife and a purse knows this. Talk about black holes...

That's great news. A few years back I bought Drop Stops during a AAA promotion. It prevent things from falling between the seats and console. Well worth it.
