Default Newbie with key fob issue

Hello all, newbie (not ready, had a Gen-1 IS300 for 10 years) here just bought a '10 RX for my wife.

One of my key fob doesn't work. So I put in a fresh $8 battery in (#1632), the key fob will work for like 5 minutes. I will walk away and come back, the key fob will be dead/not working again (no red light when button is pressed).

Anyone with this/similar issue? I've done a search but couldn't find the same issue as mine.

Thanks in advance!

Try another battery? Or swap batteries between fobs.

You can get those batteries online for $8 for five of them.

Thank you for the info! After 2 fresh batteries, I am pretty sure that's not it.

the circuit board inside is shorted out- I'd go to either a reputable auto alarm/sound shop, or to a locksmith who deals with auto locks too.
