Default Park assist problem after body shop?

Hey y'all--

Just got the '15 RX350 F-Sport back from the body shop (new rear bumper) and noticed when backing into the garage at home that the park assist didn't beep. The dash icon is green. Had my wife put the car in reverse and hold the brake while I walked around just inches from the rear bumper and there was no warning. When I walked around the front, there was a warning.

Is there any possibility that they changed a setting (I don't know why they would), or is it more likely they left it unplugged or something? The backup camera does work.

thanks
kevin

Take it back and complain. They apparently screwed it up during repairs. Not the first time. You paid for it and it should work like before.

Oh absolutely, I just wanted to make sure I can't just push a button and make it work, rather than drive to the dealer.

You should be able to access the settings through the Navigation screen. I do not have park assist, but think if it is user adjustable, that is where to look.

Yup, when the wife gets home I'll check it out. Looks like you can adjust the sensitivity, front & rear, but I think even with minimum sensitivity on the rear, I was plenty close enough to cause an alert. I bet after I check the settings, it goes back to get fixed.

My bad. I thought I remembered the system as being more intrusive, like driving with your wife, telling you you're too close when you're still 4 feet away. And my "walking past" test was somehow incorrectly designed. I backed up to actual walls and cars and the system worked exactly as I'd want.

Thanks for your help.
