Best Smart Phone for 2013 RX 350
I am new to to Club Lexus and this is my first post. I recently bought a 2013 RX 350 and am ready to upgrade to a smart phone. I know some phone are more compatible than others and am interested to hear feedback from others on phones that work well and those to stay away from. Thanks in advance!

Congrats ScutesVT. Welcome to CL. You might want to check the Lexus Mobile Link website to find phone capability. Enter the information and it'll show what can and can't be done. Also consider spending some time with the Technology Specialist at the dealer. He/she are there to help with questions like this. There's a good chance they have experience with many models. Good luck.

Our iPhones have been flawless, once I figured out what we were doing wrong initially. As with you, I have the 13 model, so no Siri Eyes Free. For better or worse, that gives you more flexibility if you prefer android models.

I have a 2013 450h; and I use an iPhone 5s with a Mophie Juicepack (battery/case) and car dock (http://www.mophie.com/shop/iphone-5/...-dock-iphone-5).
When using power (as in with the powered car dock), the iPhone's "Hey Siri" allows me to:
Read/Send texts
Call names in contacts
Give me directions to...
Launch Lexus Enform
And everything else available through Siri - all hands free.
It uses the car's audio system.
When I long to to use Siri via the push of a button, I simply push the Home button on the front of the phone (as opposed to the one on the steering wheel of the 2014+ cars) - and she wakes up.
It works well enough that I didn't feel compelled to buy a new car to get the Siri feature.

My iPhone 6s has never had an issue automatically connecting to my 2013. I power on the car, the phone and radio auto connect. Not buttons to press.
Like you, I recently acquired my RX. It has the mid grade system, just shy of NAV. It does not do the Enform integration. It is the only phone I have paired with it.
