Did my first oil change on my 2010 RX450H
So yesterday after watching a youtube video on RX350, did my oil change on the RX450H.
Amazingly simple.
Poured in 0W20 Synthetic. 6.4 qts.
The canister cap was visible at the bottom when I lifted the car which makes me wonder that there was probably supposed to be some kind of cover that somebody didn't put back on.
There are two places that the canister opens. The small one underneath that is taken off first and then a drain plug lets oil out and then the bigger piece. When I tried to open the smaller one the whole things pun out with the oil canister so I didn't bother taking off the smaller one or change the seal on the smaller one because I realized what had happened AFTER I had already screwed the whole thing back on with the new oil canister.
Anybody has a cover under there that has to be taken off first before reaching the oil canister cap or the drain plug?

Happy to hear you did it. Simple and easy if you know what to look for and expect.
I did mine not too long ago on my 2013 RX450H. It is much faster for me to do it in my own garage versus taking the time to drive down to the Lexus dealer in rush hour traffic and back. Besides I don't like paying dealer prices if I can get away with it.
