Coolant replacement question
Last weekend I did an oil change.. Once the technician gave the receipt he told that I need to change the coolant too and it will cost me $120. I was surprised because my car has run only 37k miles and recommended duration is 7years or 100k miles. Can anyone suggest how can I cross verify it? Is there a self check which I can do?

I just saw this test on one of the car repair TV shows. I haven't did it myself yet because I don't have that many miles on my car. But you might want to try it out of you are handy.

He just wanted to make more money from you by selling a service you did not need. Toyota Long Life coolant is well regarded as actually holding up for the amount of time and mileage advised by Toyota/Lexus. No need to do anything now.
