Vibrating hood
Hello,
I was driving yesterday and I noticed at highway speeds the hood vibrates. Has anyone else seen this on their RX? I have a 2011 RX with 62000kms on it.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

I know what you are talking about.
Pop you hood and remove the hood liner. Check and see if the bracing is still glued to the skin.
This will cause any hood to wobble while driving.

I have a new 15 RX picked from last June. My roof caved in from the air pressure from the car washer dryer, didn't notice until I saw the different in reflection in one evening and I popped it out using a magnet. Don't believe foreign object contact that part of the roof, no paint damage either. I hear pop all the time when my car passing the dryer. I have no idea how much the tolerance between the brace and roof.
Almost a month now, Lexus haven't get back to me yet.

Yup.
Sometimes on the highway at higher speeds, the hood on our 2011 RX350 vibrates too.
Seems to be an issue on this vehicle in particular.
My Es350 hood is rock solid and never vibrates like that.
Lexus definitely could have done a better job with hood. Maybe if it was heavier or thicker it wouldn't shake like it does.
If they did, they'd probably say it would affect the gas EPA mileage ratings.

There are rubber insulators around the edge on the car body or hood that can be adjusted by turning. Make sure they are high enough to reach the hood.
