Replacement wiper blades with instructions (merged threads)

Call around to your Toyota dealers and ask how much is a pair of inserts on a same year Pruis. I did this for my CT200H and it was not that high as I recall. I asked them to take my old inserts out aND install the new inserts. they did it in a few minutes out in the parking lot free of charge and I was on my way home.
What do you all do? Wiper refill or brand new housing? Which brand if you bought the whole new blade? Do they match the original look? If simply replacing the insert, where do you get it from?
what about the rear wipers? How do you replace the insert? How do you even take it out given that it's somewhat "hidden" under the spoiler?

On the Icons, I tend to see flawless wiping for a good 6 months, but even then it's typically just a single line and not so much a wider streak. I'm also running wipers which are two inches longer than stock to get more surface area cleared off, and having the longer wiper on my windshields may be throwing the balance of pressure off across the full wiper arm length. Like I said, though, aside from the typical single line mark after about 6 months, I generally have good results for a minimum of 10-12 months between sets of the Icon blades.
Everytime I wash my cars I run my wash pad along the wiper blades a couple of times to remove any excess dirt. I wash my cars often (sometimes several times a week) and I am always amazed how much dirt comes off the wiper blades.
In the winter I tend to clean the windows in between washes often, and I will always clean the blades. IMO it makes a big difference how the wipers perform and how long they last.
You may do this already, but in case you don't I figured I would mention it.

New wiper blades
Walmart has Rain-X blades for a new everyday price of $10 each. A good price for a good blade. I just picked up a pair. 26 and 22's for our gen 350s.

Windshield wipers
Is there a secret to changing the wipers on a RX350 (2012) I Looked in the manual and there's nothing about it. So am I to believe that only the dealer can change these.

As a general rule of thumb, you're better off searching Google first. There is no secret to the process, but Lexus DOES want your business so they let you think it's a super secret process which can only be done by "qualified personnel". Like I said, Google make sit as easy for you as it does for me (search terms "replace Lexus wiper blades" and "replace Lexus wiper inserts")

2015 RX 350 Winter Wiper Blades......
I got a used RX 350 last February and promptly replaced the OEM inserts with OEM inserts. Today was the first day driving the car in the snow and the OEM's blades seem to be pretty crappy and ice up. For those of you driving where it snows what are you doing for winter blades?
Thanks,
Randy

I prefer regular wiper blades (Bosch ICON). Winter blades are bulky, so they're not efficient when you drive over 90 km/h or when it's windy.
