Default RX450h faulty lights

Hi

Bought a 2010 lexus rx450h with 45k miles. Last night on my way back to home suddenly its front lights went off without any warning. Instrument panel was illuminated but no lights even the indicators and head light dippers , front fog tights were not working. Few buttons on panel like tail gate, height control were also not illuminated.
I stopped the car and after 10-15 minutes of fiddling around. Switched on and off the car a couple of times. Its lights came back. Now im a bit worried what caused this sudden black out.
What should i check so as to get this thing not happening again.

Regards
Hassan

I would check for any loose or damaged wiring behind the headlight units under the hood.

Also get under the RX and check the fog-lamps wiring and bulbs; I say bulbs because sometimes owners would use high wattage aftermarket bulbs in the fog-lights or even headlight units that damages the wiring due to pulling too much current.

I think the RX450 uses LED headlights so no high wattage bulbs should be in the headlights.

To be completely safe i would take it to a service shop(Lexus would be my first choice if you have an extended warranty) and have them check the wiring.

FYI, just came to mind, first check your battery terminals connections.

You may have a loose terminal that is causing electrical issues.

Then check the items I mention earlier if the battery cables are tight.
