I noticed 3rd Rx has rear seat airbag assemblies inside the seats. I would need to remove the rear seats.
Can airbags be disabled with Techstream lite? Anyone done this? Or it has to be taken to dealer?

You can't disable an air bag . It will throw a code to computer and disable the whole system . The dealer would never do any mods to the system even if they could for liability reasons .

For passenger safety reasons of course I would not turn off airbags.
But I am converting my Rx for business and it can't be done with rear seats.
I have seen somewhere photos of this conversion done into Rx 3rd gen.
For the front passenger seat airbag I do have the key operated disable switch.

I got it checked, no access to those with Techstream, dealer have to modificate it.

Dealer told it can't be programmed but they need to bypass them with resistor not to give error and turn SRS system off.
