HI guys i went to carmax this past saturday to get a quote on my 2013 rx 450h .And guess what they told me that my car was worth 32000 thousand only, i only have 6000 miles the car is in perfect condition almos showroom and i got a 28000 quote from auto trader has anyone got a better quote im shock.......

Carmax and Autotrader historically are very low. Kelly Blue Book trade in is $37,700 and NADA is $33,400. I assumed you have nav and awd. If you go to Cars.com and do a 500 mile radius of LA there are 9 2013 RX450h for sale with less than 20,000 miles. They range from $38,000-$45,000.

KBB is typically high. I use Carmax to have an estimate in hand for negotiation purposes when considering trading my vehicle elsewhere. Their values are usually better than new car dealers. Remember this is a wholesale price. You can get more if you try to sell it yourself.

$32,000 is about what a 2013 RX350 goes for in my area. The RX450h should be north of $37k easy.

I'm surprised they are that low there.

I just did a 50 mile radius search around me and found 7 used 450h models available. The cheapest '13 450h is $36,990 with 46k miles. The most expensive 450h is $42,444 with 21k miles.

For 350s (26 available), the cheapest is $32,451 with 43k miles. The most expensive is $41,995 with 18k miles. Most (16 of them) are between $36k and $39k.

Yeah, they are around $32k, all with ~ 30k miles and nav. Couple are very close to $30k, with a bit more mileage. I've been keeping an eye on the prices for awhile, since I'm in the market. Haven't yet deicided yet which car through, either 3RX, 6ES or 4GS. lol, quite a wide range of cars, will likely depend on which is the best deal!

A few weeks ago I went to CarMax and got an offer to buy my 2008 SC430 for $21,000. Two weeks later I went to the local Lexus dealer and they offered $3,000 more I.e. $24,000.

Take it to your Lexus dealer. They will likely be able to sell it as a CPO and therefor offer you more for it.
