hello I need to tap to a 12v power source in the engine bay ,,, for a led bar installation,,,,the battery itself is located in the back, I don't want to run wires to the back so any help is appreciated,

why don't you tap into the fuse box?

Yes that is a good power source. You can use any metal bolt or hole for the ground connection.

I would tap one of the fuses in the fuse box instead. That battery terminal is high-amp. If you short something out, you could do some major damage. Don't forget to run a fuse on your tap too.

I think I will tap to the fuse box I didn't know how at first but t seems easy the led bar draws 6.7 amps what fuse should I use?

Yasoo Spiros,

No. Just install 2 fuses in the Fuse adaptor and cut off the fuse holder on the LED harness .

Install One fuse to protect the existing circuit and one fuse to protect the new harness circuit.

Be careful to make sure that you plug the adaptor harness positioned properly so that the output wire is fused. To check it you should not have power at the output with fuse removed but you should have power with fuse installed. If you have power at the output without a fuse installed, plug the adaptor in opposite way to correct.
