Hi Everyone,

Quick question for anyone familiar with the Canadian RX350 models. It appears that the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) and Pre-Collision System (PCS) are available on the US 2015 RX350, but I can't seem to find them listed even as options on the Canadian models.

Is that right? Does anyone know if the Canadian models come with these features or if they're potentially sold under some other name in Canada?

During early 2015 I did some research in buying an RX450h from Canada to get the electrically heated front windshield option, that is only offered in Canada. I found that the options available in Canada a vastly different.

In Canada they have a "Technology Package" and "Executive Package" . These don't exist in the U.S. The Executive package basically gives you the rear seat entertainment LCD screens on the back of the front seat headrests. The Technology package gives you the better Mark Levison Stero and Heads-Up-Display. There is a "Touring Package" in Canada too , that gives you Navigation and Blind spot monitoring and Park assist.

Many of the individual options available in the US just aren't available to order in Canada, including the Radar cruise control. Seems strange that Lexus would have such different marketing patterns for Canada, but then it's also strange that if you cross the Canadian boarder into the U.S. you can't get the windshield de-icer. It does get cold in the U.S. too. Lexus does offer the windshield wiper deicer on the ES model for 2015 and has added that feature to new 2016 RX.

I do miss the time when ordering a car was simple, no packages, just a menu of options to choose from. You built the car exactly like you wanted it. I still like a car without the sunroof. That is hard to do if you want any optional equipment.
I ordered my 2015 RX450h in the US on April 7th. It arrived August 14. A 17 week wait. Produced in Japan. It was worth the wait . It had everything I wanted, except the windshield wiper deicer!

Found out from my local dealership that PCS and DRCC came with RX450h models as part of the rear seat DVD entertainment package for 2013-2014. (Not sure about prior years since I wasn't interested in these years).

For 2015, they completely removed the DRCC and PCS option entirely from the RX lineup. It's a shame since I like the sportier bumpers in the 2015 yet want the PCS in offered in the prior year. And I'm not the type to want to by the first MY of a redesign.
