Extended Warranty?
Warranty getting close to expire on my wife's RX. Great car, only issue in almost 4 years of driving was a leaking shock replaced under warranty.
We are going to keep the car for 120,000 miles (has 41,000 now). MY question is whether or not it is worth purchasing an extended warranty. I debate back and forth, only issue that worries me cost-wise are the radio area...
Advice? Anyone purchase one of these warranties in the past?

One of the hardest questions to answer because if you get it you will never use it and if you don't within three months your nav system will crash. My guess if you got a factory no deductible warranty to cover the 120,000 miles or four years, it would cost around $2,500. One of the main reasons we all buy a Lexus is because it is #1 in reliability. On the other side they is something comforting knowing that if something goes wrong you just take it to the service department and say fix it. If you are sure you are going to keep it, many say they are and than get the bug, I would lean towards it. If you went and bought a new RX depending on the state you could be paying half to all of the $2,500 in sales tax. These warranties are negotiable and can be bought at any Lexus dealer. When I bought one for my last car an Acura Rl, I negotiated about 20% off and bought it from a dealer in Boston. I am in NC.
