Question about CD player
So I've recently started a job with a long commute and I've started listening to audiobooks on CD. My question is, what is the best way to pause the recording when you turn off the car? If I take the CD out, it loses my place in the book. I'm not sure if it's safe to just shut the car off and leave the CD inside the player. Or if I should pause it and turn it off? Any help appreciated.

Best to leave CD inside the player. As you know, it'll keep your place in the book. Pausing/stopping isn't really necessary.
And it appears to be perfectly safe for CDs and the player. Modern cars do "self-check" before shutting down unlike older systems that just instantly cut power.

I leave my CD's in. If temperatures are real hot however,it is best to take the CD's out. This is also recommended in the manual to prevent any damage with excessive heat in the player.
