I'm new and need help. How do I set an Avatar? I'm also looking for a hitch plug that will not come off in the car wash, any suggestions?

My Lexus hitch plug has survived many a car wash. It was $12.99 I think in the Lexus parts department.

OP, welcome to the RX forum.

A1: I won't take us off topic too far since this is the RX subforum, but the quick answer is: Avatars are set in the User Control Panel. Click "User CP" in the heading, then go to "Edit Avatar" in the list on the left or just go HERE for the fast-path. There are some limitations and suggestions on setting Avatars and Sigs in our Site FAQs as well.

A2: Besides replacing a lost/stolen hitch plug, if you get one with holes in the side that align with the ones built into the sides of the receiver, you can also put a lockable hitch pin on it like this one. I have a custom hitch cover with a lockable pin on mine, and keep the key stored inside my RX with my wheel lock key.

(...and sorry about those dirty spots around the hitch. Missed it when washing yesterday from the drizzle we finally had last Friday ...but then again, I hadn't planned to get down on my knees to look underneath the rear end, either. :-))

Ummm...wouldn't this cause frame damage? Meaning your car would be totaled?

My thought is that the bumper is designed to take damage and should.
