Default Navigation and Remote Start questions

I am looking to see how to make the nav voice be louder when it is talking. I would of thought it would turn the radio down but it doesn't appear too? So I don't hear it talking when radio is turned up.

Also with the remote start it appears I have to turn the car off with the remote start key BEFORE I am able to unlock my car? Is this just how it works? this is a Lexus installed remote start.

Just got the car ( 2010 Rx350 ) last night... think I got most of it figured out but these two have got me stumped.

Thanks

Congrats 3894. I'm not sure how to make the nav voice louder. Someone else probably does. One way to get around missing directions, lower the radio using the **** on the stereo or the volume button (+/ -) on the left side of the steering wheel (pressing and holding Mode until it beeps will turn off the stereo, BTW), then press the map button above remote touch to have the nav voice repeat.

For remote start, the RX will turn off when you try to unlock it. That's how it works. You have to turn it back on when you get inside. Take a look at the remote start manual from Sewell's website for more information.

Then that's not the Lexus remote start. Good luck trying to figure it out.

found a website with instructions for the remote started I have

http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/app/...1-remote-start

I also found you can change the speaker the NAV voice comes out of to the DRIVER speaker and it does cut the radio out on that one speaker BUT it still is too soft to play the radio louder. I wish it cut down all speaker vol for radio when the NAV voice comes on. but doesn't appear to have that as an option.
