I've been using Bluetooth audio on my Samsung S3 phone. A great feature is that I was able to hit "media" button on RX and that would begin streaming music on my phone.

That all changed when I recently switched to Samsung S5. Now I am unable to use the streaming audio unless I initiate the music from the phone first.

Is there a setting or something I may have missed? I really liked just being able to do everything from the RX console without having to go to the phone for streaming music.

Please let me know. Thanks.

Most likely software issues between the two. If your running the newer kitkat software there are issues between bluetooth.

It's very frustrating to upgrade only to find out you actually LOSE features you had previously. ugh

I have an S5 and it automatically loads the last music player used, in this case Google play music when I switch to Bluetooth audio. Which music player are you using ?

Delete pairing on phone and car. Then repair

I tried deleting and repairing but that did not work.

I can't tell which music app I am using. It came with the S5 and just says "music" with a yellow note inside white circle as the icon.

did u download the latest update 8.1 i think it is? that should help u

What update are you referring to? It sound like you're referring to Windows 8.1 but the phone is running Android OS.

the ios update on the iphone just check for updates on the phone and make sure all are up to date. then try it. also i noticed that when setting up the blue tooth, it says to search from the phone. did you do that? (after your in the vehicles bluetooth setting)

It's an ANDROID phone....it does not run ios! The Galaxy S5.
