New Owner and looking for Do's and Dont's!
2010 RX 350 with 80K
Gas : from what I have read using cheaper gas only leads to less MPG? So do most just use Prem Gas?
Any things I def need to know about NOT to do?

Hi and welcome,
I have only had my 2011 RX 350 for a month but I put 91 octane gas or higher in it. That reminds to confirm that is what it takes according to the manual.
Secondly rookie mistake. After driving for about 9 hours recently on a long trip. I got out and wondered why my remote did not lock the car. Duh the motor was still running! The engine runs very quietly at idle.
Easy to slam the rear trunk lid when all it takes is a push of a button.
Cars following me seem to be really close when I look in the rear view mirror. Could be a bit of distortion.
Lots of power when overtaking other cars. Can end up with an obscene speed in this situation.
Don't spill liquids or eat food over these seats. The little holes in the fabric/leather/ will retain that forever.
I cannot think of anything else.

Owner's Manuals will state 91 octane or higher for 2010 through 2012 models, and 87 or higher for 2013 and later models.

What not to do? Don't sit in the garage all night admiring it. Get some sleep. Congratulations and welcome to this board.

No, I don't play soccer!
Congrats and welcome to CL, 3894days. My advice would be take out the owners manuals and read them. There's lots of information in there to help you maximize the enjoyment of your RX. Not that you have memorize it (yet, your test is next week). It's your best source of information. And also a cure for insomnia Then there's this forum. Just about every question you might have has been answered. Search is your friend. Regarding type of fuel, take a look at the gas mileage thread. The 2010 RX requires premium. Not to say others haven't used regular. But I don't want to turn this into yet another "what gas should I use" thread. We already have a few of those. Last but not least, have fun and post some pictures. They're mandatory around here

Look into customization settings. If you have a friendly dealer, they may do these at no cost.
The main feature is to change the way tailgate button operates. By default, it only unlocks the rear door. With the change, it will do the unlock if pressed for a short time and will use auto opener when pressed for ~1.5 seconds. I believe 2010s are capable of this.
