You can push a bit harder. I was out the door close to $47k with the same equipment. If not, try Lexus carlsbad or escondido. They can come close as well, but longo beat them by a few hundred. Stay away from Lexus San Diego, the sales people there can't wait to go home.

wow your deal looks pretty good too...the car was new and also came with the roof cross bars and 19" wheels...

my implied cost of capital comes to less than 3%...so it's comparable to financing the vehicle at same rate which I'm ok with...

can you believe the dealer tried to pull a fast one by having me purchase a 2nd key for $700?...he said the RX350s come w/ only 1 key so I would need to purchase a 2nd one as a spare...just ridiculous!

are you serious!?! i hope you laughed right at the salesman's face for trying to pull something shady like that... that's awful. he was probably annoyed you were able to talk your way into such a good deal haha.

ya in the end i'm pretty happy with the deal i got. i do wish i could've gotten 15k miles pr yr like you though..

I need guidance on how good my deal is. 2015 F Sport, Nav, Park Assist, Cross Bars, Blind Spot, Preferred Accessory Package.

$530/month(tax, title, etc), 10k/36 months, $500 down. Bay area dealer. I'm pretty happy with the deal I got overall.

MSRP was $53,063.

I'm in the market for leasing, need everyone's guidance. Current deal is 14% off MSRP of $49979. This one is equipped with towing prep, Comfort pkg, Nav & intuitive Park Assist. Is this just an OK deal or I can do better?

TIA,

Would you mind sharing what the selling price was before tax and licensing. Thanks

Hi everyone, first time leasing. I've been e-mailing internet sales and so far, received a price from one dealer:

MSRP $50270
Sale price $44770 after $1500 Lexus rebate

Dealer is giving me a discount of just under 8% of MSRP. True Car for my area (Boston, MA but this is a Rhode Island dealership) says a good price is 8.41% off MSRP, but after reading these posts, I see people are getting upwards of 13-14% off. Do I negotiate according to TrueCar results in my area or should I try for more?

Thanks in advance!

Actually that is 11% off. I think that % off MSRP could be misleading because it might depend on the options and color combination. It is quite possible that you can negotiate extra 2% off by getting less desirable color combo or extra options that you wouldn't care for.

Would be more beneficial to see MSRP and Selling price only.
Me think some might have fun with math and use this calc $44,770 + 13% ($5,820) = $50,590

Ah, I see. Thank you for clarifying. It seems the dealer is trying to misguide me and tell me the sale price of the car doesn't matter, as they are willing to match whatever monthly payment I am comfortable with. Is this a red flag? I'm not sure how to proceed as this is my first time negotiating anything but I don't want to be played for a fool. Also because I'm dealing with this primarily through email, I'm not sure how the paperwork is dealt.

If you think that you will keep the car after lease than price and residual value will matter but if you are returning it after lease than all you should care is how much out of pocket and monthly cost.
