Do still remember the soft on feature of the filament bulb? LEDs dont turn on till the voltage reaches 'ON' voltage .. so I imagine when you hit the switch, for a brief time they remain off and then bam the LED comes on full brightness.

all mine come on softly. not instant on. just like OEM.

Ladyt, make sure you pull and don't twist the bulb when removing. Otherwise the socket may come loose. Took a while for me to get it back in place. I used pliers to remove the front and rear dome bulbs. Good luck.

We tried pulling on it, but didn't want to break anything. The experts at my local Lexus Dealer were clueless on how to remove then. Will try again, thanks Kitlz!

just pull straight down. if you are having problems getting grip. put on a pair of latex gloves or use a piece of plastic wrap so your skin oils font make it greasy. can also use needlenose pliers with some plastic or tape.

You can also try using a SMALL flat head screw driver tip to pry the bulb at the base gently while pulling the bulb ... make sure the light is turned OFF first to prevent accidental shorting while prying ...

Another tip is to use a piece of duct tape, wrap it around the bulb with extra hanging out of the end of the bulb ... then grab it & wiggle the bulb out of the socket ... should work

Hello all, been trying to get my LED kit together, quick question on puddle lights. The original page the OP posted "power flank 194 bulbs" "which are designed for bulbs that sit sideways, or 90 degrees" however i do not see them on the VLED site anymore. Any chance someone has bought puddle light replacement from the new inventory vled has now which ones did you buy? Thanks for the help!

Default Rear dome light cover removal

Hi, I have a 2014 RX450h, and I want to replace the bulbs in the rear dome light. Does anyone know how to remove the cover? I was able to pry one of the front corners down some but, I can't seem to pull the rest down and I am afraid of breaking it. I have googled and searched for a video or pics on how to remove it and came up empty. The only videos on you tube are for removing the front map light unit, or to remove the back dome light for models other that the RX. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

BTW, three and half years later and all bulbs are still going strong <<knock on wood>>. Chances are you'll only have to do it once.
I am looking to change the puddle lights on my 2014 RX. Some YouTube videos show that you pull out the mirror, remove 5 screws to get to the puddle light. Did you do it that way or is there a way to access the puddle light from the back, without removing the mirror & front? Thank you!
