nightdiff, why would you want to advertise you have something valuable in your RX with that lock box? The vents are under the seats so it might not be the best place for it. There are hidden storage areas throughout the RX which I won't post here. Check the manual.

Seems like an odd question. You have an RX and perhaps a ruler, go check. Maybe you have a John Grisham book or a box of Kleenex, see if it fits under the seat. I would suggest not the driver's side, you don't want that sliding out on that 40" long cable and getting tangled up in your feet or pedals.

My guess it is for a pistol.

If so... needs to be secured.

If the case, you do not want it in a lock box. You want it available for quick access.

nightdiff, you have to assume if a thief gets into your RX again that they'll poke around. And If they happen see that lock box, you're basically advertising there's something valuable inside even if it isn't true. The amount of damage they'd do to remove it won't be pretty. You know they'll try. I make it a point to keep nothing of value in my RXh. It's something I learned from my days going to school in a city well known for car thefts. Even a bag of garbage was enough of a temptation to break a window. I'd consider the storage compartments or something else less obvious personally.

Why not hide your stuff in the hidden compartment in the trunk that's under the carpet? If you have the net it's below that too.

Unless you go into an establishment that doesn't allow concealed firearms.

You can't pack everywhere.

I would suggest you place your wallet, etc. in the compartment when you leave your house and not when you've arrived at the gym. I do this when I go shopping, I place things in the back before heading to my next stop, that way I'm not opening the hatch when I'm parking and walking away from my car.

There are 2 locations i use to hide valuables in the RX 350.

1. Trap door compartment. You have to own an RX to know it exists.
You'll be removing the plastic container inside to access it.

2. The compartment beside the cup holders on the 2nd row. That's deep enough for keys, wallet anc phone.
