Takes much more than "AWD"to drive thru 6 feet of snow

We were living in Texas when I bought the FWD. Now in Reno, I wished I bought an AWD.

2014 RX450h AWD.

Well technically I have driven it only in a parking lot so far, but do plan to take it out this coming Sunday (and that is because hubby said that we are not buying a car without me trying it first).

Would have been happy with FWD (2 mpg better in the city) but I didn't like the color they had.
Dealer had mostly AWD and only one FWD on the lot.
