How much oil have you been adding inbetween the recommended oil changes in your Rx350?
Just curious what everyone has been experiencing during the course of 10k miles inbetween with the recommended 0w20 weight.

If you have to top off oil between changes, you may be burning oil. My service place offers free top offs on all fluids but I would check that you are not burning first

Like the other have said, you should not have to add even a drop!

Everyone else, this is just a casual survey. There's a difference of shouldn't needing a drop of oil vs actual world.
All cars consume oil to a certain degree based on piston to wall tolerances, its part of the cylinder lubrication process and can't be avoided in combustion as well as the normal pcv scavenging process.
I'm just trying to get a general idea of other rx350/450h owner's usage of oil if known so i can get expectations at service intervals.

....someone else does it for us
I dont even pump my own gas in NJ
Jokes aside, everyone should routinely check fluid levels between service intervals.

You're lucky. Only my 02 RX used oil, its decreased consumption by alot after i serviced the pcv system myself ..and its been serviced regularly by Lexus during its entire ownership.

I had a new 2010 that used oil. It used about 1 qt. every 2k miles. Needless to say, I didn't keep it long. I traded it off and got a new 2013 that hasn't used any at 16k. Lexus wouldn't do anything about it, so I wanted a few of the options that I didn't have, so trading was my best option.

The pursuit of F
As practically everyone above here has said, I NEVER had an issue with oil burning or needing to top-off with any of the Toyota/Lexus cars ever owned over the last 20 years (and there have been many). Maybe you're getting us mixed up with the VW/Audi folks - in which case to the Forum Moderators, can you MOVE this thread to the more appropriate Audi forum ?

Like Anita, I've never had to add any oil whatsoever. Plus I've sent two samples (after 10,000 miles) to Blackstone Labs for analysis and the reports were very good. Essentially the message was that the oil (Toyota's 0w20w synthetic) was still doing it's job with very little trace of contaminates.
