Default 2010 vs 2014 RX 350

Apart from the exterior grill change, is there any significant driving/suspension/comfort difference between the 2010 RX 35) and a 2013/2014 RX350.

Any owners that made the switch, would you chime in with your thoughts please

Putting the F-Sport model aside, no significant difference mechanically with some minor exceptions. Earlier versions of the 2010 had the single pane side glass so some have noticed some more wind noise.

- Premium fuel was also required on the 2010 vs regular on the 2012 and up (275 hp vs now 270 hp)
- Interior updates such as bigger center console box, new steering wheel, dark wood available, and other cosmetic changes.
- Minor updates to the transmission software.
- Of course, the Nav map will be more recent on the '14

For a complete list, see the '13 press release which was the model year that introduced the mid-cycle design refresh and minor updates: http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...xury+aug12.htm

My personal opinion is that if you're dead-set on the new front-end or you want the F-Sport model (which has more significant changes mechanically), go for the '14, else, save several thousands and buy a CPO, but I'd go for an '11 over a '10 due to some minor updates such as the double-pane glass.

sacherel, take a look at this thread. It notes some of the differences. A few other members have made the switch and can provide more insight. And while there were some features added to the 2013+ RXs, a few were dropped, like AFS, intelligent high beams, and the six CD changer. Exterior colors have also changed slightly through the years.

I traded my 2010 450h on a 2013 450h about 10 days ago. There are very few differences, but some will hit you right away if they are meaningful to you. I like the chromed grill on the 2010 versus the painted grill on the 2013. I like that the console lid opens a full 90 degrees on the 2013 versus the 2010. I miss the 2010 headlights and the 2010 compass. The 2013 manual still calls for 91 octane although I put 87 in my first fill up.

Speaking of manuals. They managed to make it bigger. The main manual is over 1000 pages and the Nav manual is over 500 pages!! Then there is a handful of smaller manuals. Having had the 2010, I can wait for the movie to come out!!!!!!!!

"13 can use 87 unleaded; they detuned the engine a little; per all their advertising and dealers!

Front grille is different, radio controls are different, remote touch enter button was moved, siri integration. Lots of little things.

Traded a 2011 for a 2013.

Specifically, the driving/suspension/comfort difference.. NO DIFFERENCE.
Anyone who claims they can FEEL the 5hp decrease is probably selling a bridge too.

Other members have pointed out the minor stuff like NEWer exterior/interior combination
Like a saddle tan interior.

If you're trying to save some money, go with a 2010.
