That is the tire pressure for driving under 160km/h or over 160 km/h (over 99.4 mph). The tilde ~ means greater than.
So if you drive on the Autobahn (or other high speed highways) you add a little more air to the tires.

No the other way around. I shouldn't have said "greater than". It would have been more clear if I said the ~ after the 160 (160~) is when your speed would be above 160kh/m,
The ~ before the 160 (~160) is for speeds less than160kh/m.

Traction wise, lower pressure is more traction. Lower tire pressure increases the tires "footprint" or "contact patch" on the road.
