dealer maybe skimping on extra cost to have "CPO' on near new/ used RX. CPO will give longer overall warrantee on top of what already are left on current vehicle [100k on powertrain]. I would not worry about not being CPO but take the vehicle to a body-shop and get second opinion of any possible repairs. Purchaser will have to think about a reason why someone will return a new vehicle with so little miles. I was involved in an accident when my RX only had about 5k miles, and after a fix, I was tempted to trade in for a new but decided to keep it but would have made a good looking used RX at the time when demand was high.
there is one member here from TX who traded his RX after a repair on his driver door within few months of purchasing his starfire. nobody knows and carfax is not very accurate at all.

In addition, the dealer would need to change extra for the CPO process. You could take that money and put it towards a Platinum warranty with Jerry @ Midwest Toyota.
