Default New Lexus Recall for RX

Got a call from the dealer today to schedule a recall repair. Something about the on-board computer? The caller didn't have much info on it. Anybody know what it's about?

Nothing for my 450h on Lexus.com. I'm going in for service next month and will ask my SA. The gas pedal was already hideously shaved. Which reminds me I have to talk to the service manager about that. Might be time to upgrade to the F-Sport pedals.

I've had it done for my 2010 RX already. The service advisor had said that it was a software update to make the brake pedal override the gas pedal if the brake is pressed while the gas is pressed.

If you have registered your vehicle with Lexus you need only login to the system and see what shows under the recall tab for your vehicle.

+1

That will be My Lexus (top left tab) > Safety Recalls and Service Campaign.

and you will get this:

2013 RX 350

Your vehicle does not require any outstanding safety recalls or service campaigns at this time. This inquiry covers all recalls or campaigns currently not completed for your specific vehicle identification number (VIN).

Toyota was having a recall. Water dripping from evaporator coil of AC onto an airbag control. Not sure of the date of this recall.

It's scary that something like that made it through the original release of ECU software

Brake override was introduced on the '11. No slip up on Lexus' part. They're adding it to the '10 as part of a settlement. You can read more about the gas pedal modification for the '10 here.

Oh I know all about that half of the recall. It's too bad this was our first Lexus because we had no idea they were going to top up our 7/8ths full gas tank not to mention cut our pedal and make it look crappy.

I'm pretty sure the letter stated the gas tank would be filled for the gas pedal TSB. It's something Lexus has done for years. I want to say next time but hopefully there won't be a next time.

Correct-o. We had this done on our '10 two weeks ago.
