Default My Lease deal I got on RX350 FWD. Golden Opportunity Event North Carolina

Since I dont see many actual good post with what deals people are getting, I figured I would share mine with others. I live in North Carolina. I wanted to try out a lease to see if I like doing it. I cant stand having to bring in a vehicle for any issues, I dont drive but to the golf course and grocery store when Im home from work, and I wanted to get rid of my gas guzzler.

Full discloser:
I worked with two dealers within an hour of each other. I educated myself on leases before I went into the dealership. (Dont go in there stupid, otherwise they will take advantage of you!!)

First rule of thumb: Act like you are going to purchase the car out right!!!

Golden Opportunity Event stated: $389/month with $3,600 down and 10K a year miles

Here is the deal I walked out with:
- Sold my truck for $18,000 (they wrote me a check on spot) (KBB said it was worth 19,500)

2013 RX FWD (loaded with every option w/o the AWD)
MSRP: 49,545
Golden Opportunity Event Incentives: $1,500, they pay first months payment
Got them down on Vehicle price to: 45,354
Lease Term: 36 months
Money Factor: (.00040)
Mileage: 12K a year (argued for hours on getting them to give me 12k instead of 10K)
NO CASH DOWN!!!

Extras: All oil changes for the lease term, Free Car Washes. This is a big savings for me because I wash my car once a week.

Let me know what you guys think. Hope you can use this information to score a deal!

Hard to know if you got a good deal or not ..... lots of moving parts in a transaction. They probably made money on the truck part of the transaction, but no way to know. If you are happy with your monthly payment that is what is important. Oil changes will save you about $200 over the life of the lease, nice but not a huge deal. Car washes for free come with every Lexus vehicle, but it is too much hassle to go to the dealer just for a car wash. I wash once a week as well.....$2.00 at the coin wash does the job and I'm done in half an hour. I am amazed at the number of people who roll up to the Lexus dealer just for a car wash and then have to wait an hour or so to have it done. I prefer to do it myself, I never let a car dealer wash my vehicles.

Enjoy the RX.

You drove off with the car! THAT's the important part.
i've been doing this ( leasing and/or buying) for quite some time now and BELIEVE me, the dealership always WIN. they're like the Casino.
i have learned that there's always another guy who made a better deal than you. Acceptance is key.

in your case, you can argue, that if you have sold your truck on Carmax or as a private party, you could have gotten $20,000 or more. which will destroy all the savings you "perceive" you got.
and you leased a 2013 a few weeks away before the 2014 are rolled out, so again in this case, you did your dealership a favor by taking this out of their hands.

You forgot to mention the "residual". which is VERY important to me, i tend to BUY my lease at the end, and then sell them.. i make a profit between 2,000-5000 before taxes.
Sometimes, Lexus will contact me, a few months before my lease expire and offer to buy the car and transfer me to a newER one at no cost ( simply an extension of the lease) this works too.

So again, you think you have done all the research, bought all the credit scores ( Transunion,Equifax,Experian) and armed yourself for war, in the end, the dealership still WIN..
Remember, they do this everyday, they have heard everything and they know how to play the game.
