Default Question about Brake Pads for Japan built 2010 RX350

Hi guys,
I was researching a new brake pads to purchase online and I come across some brake pads specifying that it's not for Japan built (example Raybestos ATD1324C). My car is built from Japan as VIN starts with J. My question is, is the brake pads for JAPAN built RX350 different from North American built RX350? I'm thought about purchasing Akebono ACT1324(Front Pads)/ACT1391 (Rear Pads) but I cannot tell if this will fit my car and I don't wanna go thru the trouble of returning as I'll be shipping to buddy living in the States (I live in Canada). I've called my dealer and they told me they use the same part for both Japan and North American built vehicles. They told me their part is TOYOTA OEM 04465-0E010 (FP)/04466-0E010 (RP). The part number I've found from Sewell is 0446548150 (FP) / 0446648130 (RP), which is part # for Japan built vehicles. I would really appreciate clarification on this. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to Club Lexus, nix78.

The information you have is correct and can be confirmed by going to rockauto.com and looking up the brakes for your vehicle. The Akebono would be a good choice and they are universal for all RX350 of your model year.

Thank you for your advice. I'm going to order Akebono ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad ACT1324 / ACT1391.

No problem, it is why we are here. Akebono have been a go-to product for many Asian vehicles for a long time now and are actually the OEM manufacturer for many. If the OEM pads have served you well they would also be a good choice.

Be sure to come back and let us know about your experiences.
