Default Trailer plug

I am going to installing a trailer hitch on my 350 and I do not have the tow package. There is a connector plug under the rear cowling can I plug into the it and will the lights work or does something else need to done for the lights to work?

Default Trailer Plug

There is a plug underneith the left rear side that the 4 prong trailer hitch hardness plugs into and it works right away,
I ran my plug up into the spare tire bay so I don't have the plug always dangling underneith.
If you choose to do it that way, the plug that connects to the wirering harness is smaller than the 4 prong end so I ran it from the spare tire bay and then out so the hole I had to drill was smaller, then I put in a round rubber gromet to finish it seal it off.
