Feedback from owners with 22" wheels - RX450h

I like the black rims, but I have to say, I really don't care for the ones I see that are chrome. I just can't help but think it looks like someone borrowed the tires from their bicycle. Seems to be a favourite in my area, big Escalades with the chrome skinny spoked rims. Not my cup of tea...

One more question for ya, did you lower it after putting on the larger wheels? Or are those pics from just adding the wheels? I'm looking at 22's as well and was hoping not to have to lower to decrease wheel gap... Thanks, again, dig the ride!

Not touched anything else apart from the wheels. Rest are all stock.

Nice Look for the 450h
Well, it's been a while but I took the plunge with the 22"s..... took 3 months for them to arrive but they are here and I'm loving them!!
Yes, the ride is noticeably harsher (especially moving from the stock 18"s) but I still think the ride is comfortable.
The best part is the improvement in body roll. It's by no means perfect now but certainly an improvement from the stock 18"s i had before and less annoying going round corners.
All in all, very happy with the decision.

That looks fantastic with the 22's.
I was going to go with 20's but not so sure after seeing your car.
I see that your tires are 265/35/22
Would you mind sharing your rim specs and since you
are reporting no rubbing issues.
I was thinking I would have to drop the car 1.5" to complete the look but it seems those
22's look quite nice in there and the gap does not look excessive.
Do you suppose they would rub if you did drop it 1.5"?

I will resurrect this thread since it applies to an issue I am currently facing...

Thanks. I've had these 22"s on the car for about 18 months now and not a regret. I would definitely suggest 22"s over 20"s if you can, and the roads where you live are not too bad.
The rims should be 22x9J.
Personally I wouldn't lowered the car, I like the look as it is.

Nice work brendan! That looks as clean as it gets! The black on black looks amazing. Were you thinking about putting a Lexus center cap/emblem on the wheels? Personal preference of course, but I think it would be a nice finishing touch.

Hate to resurrect an old thread....BUT I am looking at 22's for my 2013 RX450H and was wondering if you might be able to share your offset Brendan?
Thx!

Late Reply
I know it's probably too late to reply, but I believe it is safe to say 235/40/22 tires will not rub. I replaced my 265/35/22 tires with all terrain 275/45/22 and they do rub when I hit a dip, or turn make sharp slow turns only.
