Hi y'all,

I'm a happy new owner to a CPO 2011 RX 450h which has the tow package but no tow hitch. I've seen threads about the aftermarket Curt hitches or getting factory hitch via Sewell etc. but I'm curious as to whether folks with tow hitches have noticed any MPG differences with their hitches on / without. Ultimately, it's not going to affect my decision on getting a tow hitch but I'm just curious as to what folks have observed? Thanks!

I had a tow hitch installed on a Prius and did not notice a difference. Same goes for my RX450h.

lol I doubt that an additional 10 lbs of the tow hitch would make any difference to a 4000+ suv.
I don't think its location would have any effects on wind drag neither.

The hitch itself is around 35 pounds and add another 8lbs or so tfor the mount and ball. There is a mileage difference just because you are moving the additional weight.
