This is my RX-350 after the freezing rain in Portland Oregon. The driver door would not open because the thick layer of accumulated ice. It took me half an hour to break all the ice near the cavities around the door. Fortunately the RX350 handled very well on the icy highways.

An RXicle! That's pretty nasty splee99. Hope you were able to completely defrost. And please make sure the auto wipers are off in weather like that.

Wow, that is amazing. So can you drive in those conditions without chains?

We sure can here in Canada with the RX and I believe Anita would concur. Of course, the RX has its limits but in a city environment where snow is plowed quickly and streets salted, not a problem. Living in the country, hmm, would have snow tires at minimum, maybe chains.

Cheryl, right about now, we're getting fed up of the weekly snow storms and frigid temps. What's worse is it prevents me from enjoying my two beautiful Lexus vehicles since they're always dirty and no fun taking the curves on slick roads. The California coast is looking pretty sweet. Post a new pic to remind us what we're missing!

Cheryl, chains are illegal by me because of the damage they can do to the roads. After all the storms lately that's the last thing we need. The potholes are bad enough as is, LOL! All season tires have worked fine on the RXs. And the wind was responsible for the artistic touch this morning. About 14 inches and counting.

A view of the alps on the side of my driveway. The snow melted somewhat today but it's still around 6 feet high.

corrado, the RXh hasn't been washed in two weeks. More snow is expected tomorrow and then it'll be below freezing Sunday. But maybe I'll go for it

Anitia, your car always looks so clean and beautiful (even with snow on it).

We haven't washed ours yet in over a month although hubby Websailor (he just joined here) did hose off the tires yesterday because he ran over dirt clods by going up the side of our private road so another car could pass. We were wondering what all those noises were in the wheel well. After we returned home, we saw dirt clods all over our driveway.

This car shows so much dust and dirt, even the dark gray floor mats were getting dirty (so I cleaned them off today). I did wipe off the chrome strips on the side today too.

Now I know why my previous car was beige.

Default Snow by RX

Anita

That brings back memories of where I grew up on Long Island, NY. When they plowed the roads and then we shoveled the driveways, we had big piles like that. As kids, we'd tunnel into them to build igloos. It was always fun to have a school-free snow day! Not so sure it was as much fun for my parents though!

Do houses not have garages back East?

I haven't let a car sleep outside in 30 years. LOL
