We weren't going to finance. There is an incentive going on through the end of the month with Lexus Finance whereby you get a rebate of $1,000 if you finance with them. No pre-payment penalty so can pay off the note right after you buy the car and still get the $1,000. That would be the only reason we would finance.

They may tell you, you have to finance $12K for 6 months at minimum, but there are no official rules. I went through this to get the Lexus Loyalty Rebate. No problems paying it off earlier than that.

That's a nice move; Lexus probably found out that a lot of people intending to to that are too tired or lazy or stupid or broke to pay the loan off early. Stick with the plan and mark your calender.

They're trying to get more people to finance through LFS instead of 3rd party. Once the car leaves the lot, you can only refinance it as a used car, which means higher interest rates. There's some money made in financing, and even a little adds up.

backing accidents...
To prevent backing accidents, she needs to learn what safer driving schools are teaching - find a parking space she can pull thru and park so she can leave going forward without backing. Otherwise, carefully assess the parking space and back into it carefully, so she can exit the space going forward. If a space requires backing, it is safer to back going in while the view of everything is fresh on the mind. This all takes a little getting used to but is much safer.
