2014 rx

I'm looking forward to the 2016(?) full redesign...here's hoping they build a RX500h f-sport with panoramic sunroof!!

I think about all you can expect is possibly a new color or two. The only hope for something new would be if they make a special edition RX for Lexus' 25th anniversary in 2014. In that case, it may have a new paint color, tweaked interior and a few other additions. If you like the RX, buy it now. There is the possibility of a total refresh in the 2015 model year. If that comes along, you may be disappointed that you waited to buy in the last year of the current gen in 2014.

Given that the LCI happened in 2013, I highly doubt the MY 2015 RX will be on a new chassis. I think 2016 models (which will start being sold at the end of 2015) will be the next gen RX. If you really like the current LCI RX 3rd gen and are in no rush to buy, then getting a used one right after the 4th gen RXs come out will be the best time to buy. Dealerships will be wanting to clear out the 3rd gen inventory and that will reflect in low prices on the 3rd gen models.

things like BSM and Backup sensors standard...much more emphasis on safety these days;
They really need a "Denali" RX350; i.e. All options and two toned leather; for the people who want something different; it has sold well for GMC starting with the big one and now the Acadia has a Denali also; and very popular!!

They will make the 8 speed standard; probably a more efficnent engine with better gas mileage,

RX450h with the new hybrid combination from the GS450h would certainly be lovely . It has a combined 340hp and 295 pound foot of torque!! Also manages a combined 45.6 mpg.
The current RX450h has 299hp and 234 pound foot of torque. Manages combined 44.8 mpg. The GS450h system is more powerful and efficient.
Due to a little more weight of the RX i would expect it to have a 0-60 time of around 6.5 seconds and a combined economy of 42 mpg.

Also note that mpg specified in the UK means miles per imperial gallon. That would be ~4.546 liters (vs. 3.785 liters in a US gallon).
That said, the European measurement standard used in the UK is also different than the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) method. The same platform here in the US is rated at at combined 31 mpg (vs. 29 mpg for the 2103 RX 450h).
